My mask creation The 'SHEZAR'

Deep in the heart of the African jungle there is a community that has been able to survive on whatever they can find with a little luck from the 'Shezar'. The 'Shezar' is the mask that these people believe they should wear. These people wear this mask because they believe when they are wearing it the have good luck and that nothing bad can happen to them. These people have truly seen the power of the 'Shezar' from 20 years ago when there leader was almost eaten by a tiger, until he put on his mask and the tiger was scared away. The mask consists of the primary colors on one side and the secondary colors on the other and in the middle is a line separating the two. The mask has long wavy hair to protect the back of the persons head that is wearing the 'Shezar'. If you ever decide to travel to the most southern part of Africa for an adventure, make sure to take a 'Shezar with you to bring you good luck when you are in a jungle that has so many predators.

Showing value

We are using cutout objects with cardboard as an object to demonstrate value shifts and drawing your attention to one object on the page. We are using the different types of demonstrating value by using shading, scribble-hatching and cross-hatching.

Tracing in Mid-Air

We learned that it is easier to squint and trace the objects that you are trying to draw in mid-air. It helps you to focus on drawing each object to look as one.

Positive and Negative Space

Positive space is the area of an object that shows value an stands out from the other texture in the background. Negative space is the area that is behind the main object. The negative helps to make the figure stand out.
Three dimensional art is the type of art that let's you express the true form of an object on to a piece of paper. It is a better way of rendering an objects form and value.
There is both low relief and high relief. When the positive looks like the negative space it has low relief. When the positive space stands out from the negative space it has high relief.

Face Art

When I was creating my art I found it difficult to create the value that is in this face. I just kept looking at the other side of the face to figure out how to create the right value.

Art Media

Art media is the way that art is sent to catch a lot of people's attention.

TEXTURE

Texture is an element of art that describes the feeling of an object. Th element of value is very important when creating texture. Frottage is when you draw textures from anything you can see. Real texture is something that you can feel and know what it is. Implied texture is when the texture is being rendered on a piece of  paper for example.
